From Piqua Health Department reports:

Oct. 19

Lucky’s Pad, 108-110 N. Main St., Piqua. Violations/comments: Satisfactory at time of inspection


Subway, 1225 E. Ash St., Piqua. Violations/comments: Observed broken food containers and lids. All food contact surfaces must be smooth, durable and intact. Cracks provide areas for bacterial harborage. Observed personal items stored on prep surfaces, i.e. bags, employee drinks, etc. Keep employee items away from prep areas.

Oct. 23

McDonald’s East, 995 E. Ash St., Piqua. Violations/comments: The orange juice dispenser needs to be cleaned. The floor needs to be clean, mainly in the hard to reach areas.

Papa John’s, 500 N. Main St., Piqua. Violations/comments: Observed bulk containers of white powder without a label. All food products that are not in original container must be labeled to prevent misuse. Corrected. Observed containers of cheese and pizza sauce marked “Keep Refrigerated” at room temperature on counter. All TCS foods must be kept below 41 degrees to prevent bacterial growth. Corrected.

Oct. 24

McDonald’s West, 1546 Covington Ave., Piqua. Violations/comments: Observed TCS foods being used after they were marked to be discarded. When time is used as a public health control, the time item is to be discarded must be marked and item discarded when time expires. Items discarded. Observed broken and cracked food containers. When food containers are broken/cracked they cannot be properly sanitized and use be discarded. The following items need to be cleaned: reach-in, one-door refrigerator, two door refrigerator, walk in cooler and freezers, the floors and walk by the grill line.
