Present facts, not agenda

To The Editor:

I was shocked and dismayed when I read the following quote in the paper on June 14, 2017, from Mr. Jeremy L. Halbreich, chairman and CEO of AIM Media Midwest.

“We look forward to providing the guidance and direction necessary for these publications and our new employees to engage their local audiences and set the civic agenda and discourse both online and in print for the communities they serve.”

I always understood that the job of news media was to report the factual news and the job of consumers is to review the facts and determine their own agenda and discourse! I hope your publications just report the facts in news stories. Please bring back the integrity of journalism that has been lacking in today’s news outlets.
