According to Troy Police Department Detective Captain Jeff Kunkleman, officers stopped David J. Smith, 24, of Troy, during a traffic stop Thursday evening before serving the search warrant at his residence.
From the home, Troy Police Department officials seized two-and-a-half pounds of marijuana, one ounce of powder-form MDMA or “Molly,” 50 hits of acid, hash oil and a quarter pound of psychedelic mushrooms.
Paraphernalia was also seized from the home.
Smith was charged with three counts of second-degree felony drug trafficking, one count of third-degree felony drug trafficking and one count of fifth-degree felony drug trafficking charges. He is currently incarcerated at the Miami County Jail awaiting arraignment on the charges.
