After having a doubleheader with Cuyahoga Community College rained out Friday, Edison State split two games with Tri-C Saturday.

The two games rained out Friday will be made up Wednesday, with first game at 1 p.m.

Edison State was back in action Monday, hosting Ohio University-Chillicothe in a doubleheader.

Edison, 13-16 overall and 6-10 in the OCCAC, lost the first game 7-1.

Layne Riley had the Chargers on hit and drove in a run.

James Ganion pitched a five-hitter, striking out four and walking four.

ESCC defeated Cuyahoga 3-1 in the second game.

Riley pitched a three-hitter, striking out 12 and walking one.

Edward Alexander was 2 for 3 with one RBI.

Dillon King was 2 for 3 and Travis Smith had one RBI.

The Edison State softball team had all four games rained out on the weekend.

The Chargers, 10-10 overall and 2-2 in the OCCAC, will play a doubleheader at Sinclair Community College Wednesday.
