TROY — The Lehman girls tennis team had its season end at the D-II sectonal tournament Tuesday.
In doubles, Diana gibson and Sarah gibson won 6-0, 6-2 over Springfield Shawnee before losing 6-1, 6-1 to the top seeds from Tippecanoe in the second round. Emma Simpson and Alex Read lost 7-6, 6-1 to a Greenville team in round one.
In singles, Ann Pennaparra had a bye before losing 6-0, 6-0 to Northeaster; while Alison Briggs lost a prelim singles match to Milton-Union 6-1, 6-2.

Two Lehman golfers were named to the All-NWCC golf team.
Tyler Scott was named to the first team, while Tyler Lachey was named to the second team.
CELINA — The Versailles boys golf team finished fourth at the Jordan Moeller Invitational Monday at the Mercer County Elks.
Lima Shawnee won with 309.
St. Henry was second with 335, Russia was third with 337 and Versailles was fourth with 338.
Versailles scores included Nicholas Litten Stonebraker 82, Kyle Cotner 82, Jacob Watren 86, Griffen Riegle 88 and Michael Hemmelgarn 97.
Hemmelgarn also won a $500 scholarship from the names of all senior golfers in the tournament that was drawn out of a hat.
VERSAILLES — The girls golf teams from Russia and Versailles high schools closed out the dual portion of their seasons by playing on the back nine at Stillwater, where they will play today in the Division II sectional tournament.
It was senior night for both schools. Russia honored Lizzie Adams, Kara Barlage, Alicia George and Ellie Fiessinger. Versailles recognized Maddie Covault, who was the Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
Versailles won the match 202-215 and Covault was the medalist with a 48. Lauren Durham shot a 50, and Jorja Pothast and Lauren Heitkamp both added 52s.
For Russia, Maddie Borchers and Lizzie Adams led with 51s, Alicia George had a 56 and Kara Barlage 57.
RUSSIA — The Russia volleyball team lost to Russia in four sets Monday.
Ashley Ho had five blocks for the Lady Indians, while Kelsey Magoteaux served three aces.
Piqua is now 9-7 on the season.

FORT RECOVERY — The Lehman volleyball team finished the match in impressive fashion in a 25-20, 15-25, 25-12, 23-25, 15-12 win at Fort Recovery Monday.
The Lady Cavaliers, 11-5, were trailing 11-7 in the deciding set before finishing on a big run.
“We had the lead in the fourth set and had a chance to close it out and didn’t,” Lehman coach Greg Snipes said. “We were down 11-7 in the fifth set and finished with an 8-1 run. Fort Recovery has a strong group returning from last year. This is a big week, with the tournament draw coming up and it was good to get this win.”
Madeline Smith dished out 55 assists for the Lady Cavaliers, while Sidney Chapman had 30 kills and 22 digs.
Marianne Hissong had seven kills and six blocks, while Maddy McFarland had 14 kills.
Allie Hall had five kills and five blocks, while Madison Hussey had 28 digs. Ellie Scott had five kills and Adrianna Sehlhorst had 10 digs.
Lehman will play Lima Perry Thursday.
The Piqua Football Mom’s Club will be holding its fifth annual 5K Glow Run on Oct. 10.
Runners are encouraged to dress in their best Neon.
