Seger takes first at Shelby County Preview

ANNA — Russia freshman Becca Seger was the winner of the Shelby County Preview cross country race.

Seger won in 20:33.6, leading Russia to a second-place finish.

The rest of the Lady Raiders top seven included Megan Frazier, 5, 21:35.4; Claire Meyer, 6, 21:43.3; Katelyn Monnin, 22, 23:59.8; Clare Caldwell, 23, 24:02.9; Emma DeLaet, 25, 24:07.9; and Anna Fiessinger, 26, 24:14.8.

Houston finished fourth.

The Lady Wildcats top seven included Hollie Voisard, 3, 21:22.6; Morgan Ely, 16, 23:18.4; Danielle Stephenson, 31, 24:50.9; Addie White, 36, 25:41.5; Andrea Mantor, 57, 30:38.7; April Stammen, 58, 30:44.9; and Kierstyn Oberdorf, 59, 30:50.5.

Lehman Catholic finished fifth.

The Lady Cavaliers top seven included Alanna O’Leary, 9, 22:17.4; Maria Schmiesing, 10, 22:22.4; Theresa Flood, 41, 26:35.1; Maggie Bezy, 49, 28:11.7; Leah People, 63, 32:01.3; Caitlin Swallow, 65, 33:08.0; and Miriam Bezy, 68, 33:56.7.

BOYS

The Houston boys finished second, while Russia finished third and Lehman Catholic was ninth.

Houston’s top seven included Tristin Freistuhler, 3, 17:58.0; Parker Cox, 7, 18:16.5; Jacob Slater, 13, 18:59.8; Dakota Francis, 15, 19:01.8; Blake Jacobs, 19, 19:16.5; Patrick Meiring, 21, 19:39.1; and Joseph Earl, 39, 20:57.3.

Russia’s top seven included Zachary Bell, 6, 18:12.8; Gavin George, 9, 18:32.8; Andrew DeLoye, 16, 19:05.0; Jonathan Bell, 25, 19:48.3; Nicholas Caldwell, 35, 20:33.6; Alex Seger, 50, 21:31.2; and Will Magoto, 54, 21:40.9.

Lehman runners included Elias Bezy, 44, 21:12.5; Alex Vanderhorst, 64, 22:12.9; Scott Petersen, 73, 23:47.9; Aaron Topp, 83, 27:56.5; and Andrew Wiseman, 85, 35:02.5.
