Andrew Slusher and Kelsey Bachman were the winners of the Echo Hills Junior Club Championship this week.
Slusher, who will be a senior at Covington, carded an 83 to get past Aaron Davis, who finished second with an 88.
Slusher recorded a birdie on the par-5 fifth hole in an opening nine of 39 to open a seven-shot lead over Davis.
Davis had a birdie on the par-3 15th, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap on Slusher.
Ethan Pohlschneider finished third with a 107 and Jack Shell took fourth with a 117.
Bachman, who will be a junior at Piqua, shot a career-low round of 81 to beat high school teammate Korren Evans.
Bachman had birdies on the par-4 eighth and par-4 16th hole in recording nine hole scores of 40 and 41.
Evans shot a 107.
Two cards 35s
at Echo Hills
Ron Pearson Jr. and Casey Lavey shared low gross honors in the Thursday Industrial League at Echo Hills with 35s.
Ryan Pearson took third with 36.
Derek Jennings was low net with 29
Jim Williams took second with 30.
Tying for third with 31 were Dave Brown and Rick Rouse.
