Signups are going on now for the Piqua City Championship. It is a 36-hole stroke play tournament July 8 and 9.

Opening round will be played at Echo Hills, with final round at Piqua Country Club.

You must be a member of one of the courses or a resident of Piqua.

Different flights are available but you must have a GHIN handicap.

You can sign up now at Echo Hills and cost is $40.

Piqua Chamber

outing set for July

The Piqua Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Chamber Golf Classic on July 17 at Piqua Country Club.

The event begins at 11 a.m. with registration, followed by lunch and a noon shotgun start.

Cocktails will be served at 5 p.m. at a cash bar, followed by dinner and awards.

Cost is $150 per golfer or $600 per team.

Proceeds go to support Chamber programs, services and activities.

Blythe event

at Stillwater

WEBSTER — The annual Christmas in July golf outing honoring the memory of Staci Jo Blythe will be held July 22 at Stillwater Valley Golf Club.

This fundraiser has helped over 1,000 children. Last year, it benefitted 125 children locally as well as an unknown number at of kids at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus who receive treatment at The James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State Unviversity where Staci was also treated.

The outing will be a four-person scramble with a Peoria Handicap System and prizes will be given for first place gross score, first place net score and proximity awards.

A meal will be provided.

Cost is $25 for employees/cart pass, $35 for Stillwater members, $40 for Stillwater Trail Pass or Stillwater W.D. Members and $60 for Stillwater guests.

Hole sponsorships are available for $50, mulligans are $20 per team and there will be a 50/50 raffle.

Deadline for entry is July 18.

Ben Gover and Jeff Jennings tied for third with 38.

Brody Fox and Ryan Karn tied for low net with 31, while Rick Krejci was third with 32.

Sharing third with 33 were Jim Heath, Jeff Heath and Luke Thoma.
