Colleague supports Kendell

To the Editor:

As a friend and colleague of Anthony “Tony” Kendell, our elected Miami County Prosecutor, I am writing in support of his re-election campaign. Tony has worked in the prosecutor’s office since 1993, when he was hired by Jeff Welbaum as an intern during law school. Later, he became the First Assistant Prosecutor handling the majority of serious felony cases and trials.

In 2012, Tony was unanimously appointed County Prosecutor by the Miami County Republican Central Committee; and in 2014 he won election as the prosecutor. In fact, Tony’s professional career has been devoted to protecting the rights of citizens in Miami County.

Tony has successfully prosecuted countless criminals, having tried dozens of adult felony jury trials, including murder, assault, rape, and other violent felonies; as well as drug trafficking and organized crime. His opponent has no such record. I have spoken with many Miami County attorneys and all of them agree that Tony is the best qualified candidate. He has been in the courtroom prosecuting and convicting those criminals who have violated the rights of our citizens.

Tony is not swayed by any special interests. He has the character and determination to do the job for which he was elected.

We need a dedicated and experienced attorney as our county prosecutor – please vote for Tony Kendell.

Thank you,

— Mike Gutmann, Attorney
