Who decides on Social Security benefits?

To the Editor:

I am not sure who is in charge of deciding what if any Social Security benefits we get. Gas has nothing to do with today. Food, medical premiums have gone sky high since Obamacare, medical procedures, prescriptions (especially insulin), car and house insurance, taxes, utilities … but because gas is low, we get screwed. I think they are hoping we will die so they can bring more people in.

I think you should have to live on what we do for one year and things might be different.

I am 75 years old and still work so I can keep my husband alive.

I think you need to check this out.

People are not eating and taking medicines the way they are supposed to because they can’t afford it. A lot lost savings after 9/11.

You can write to: Social Security Administration, Office of Public Inquiries, 1100 W. High Rise, 6401 Security Blvd., Baltimore, MD 21235 or call (866) 931-2520.
