To the Editor:
I am writing with regard to the former Favorite Hill School area. The school has been torn down completely and the area is now being graded level.
I understand that a substantial offer was made sometime ago by an individual who lives in the area to purchase the real estate. This individual would turn the real estate into a green space. It could also be made into a small park. I am confident that the person making this offer would do an outstanding job of maintaining the area.
I also understand that several weeks ago, Commissioner Vogt suggested that this area could be turned into low-income housing. With the housing available at this time, I believe this is unnecessary and would be a disaster for the properties in this area. I believe if Commissioner Vogt lived next to the area, he would not have made this suggestion.
