The YWCA has been the recipient of funds from the Piqua Community Foundation’s unrestricted funds along with donor designated funds. As the Community Foundation’s logo depicts, each dollar received has a ripple effect when added to other donations. Each dollar distributed by the Foundation to local not for profits, such as the YWCA, continues that ripple effect. These funds have enabled the YWCA to touch many individuals in our community through programing and other activities. Congratulations and thank you for making a difference in our community.

Friends of the Piqua Parks

Nothing is more important to a community than its recreational areas and parks. The Friends of the Piqua Parks has been very fortunate to have received funding from the Piqua Community Foundation for its beautification projects for our parks. The William H. Pitsenbarger statue in Pitsenbarger Sports Complex was a major addition that was long overdue but brought to fruition with the help of the Piqua Community Foundation. We look forward to many more beautification projects with the help of this wonderful Foundation.

Piqua Parents as Teachers

We are so very thankful for the generous support of the Piqua Community Foundation. The Foundation has been extremely supportive of the PPAT mission as a literacy and parent education and support program for young families. They have supplied our young children with hundreds of new books for spontaneous home family reading. They have also made possible several family activities and field trips that many of our families would normally be unable to experience.

Congratulations to the Piqua Community Foundation for 25 years of making a wonderful difference in the lives of young families and in the Piqua community.

The Garden Tribe Schoolyard Garden

Bringing this outstanding project to our Piqua public school system and Piqua Catholic School was made possible by the generosity of many volunteers, businesses and foundations. The Piqua Community Foundation was one of the leaders in making this all possible. The fifth grade students’ learning experience has been enhanced by this garden that teaches where food comes from and about healthy eating. The garden has become one of the most popular classes in the curriculum for these students. It now serves almost 300 children and will continue to grow making a positive impact on their lives. Thank you Piqua Community Foundation for all you have done for this project.
