PIQUA — The McDonald’s PHS Student of the Week for the week of Nov. 19 – 23 is daughter of J.D. Poling and Shelly Reynolds, junior Audrey Poling, nominated by Kyle Ratliff. Poling is involved in Link Leaders, Women’s Chorus, and plays volleyball for the varsity team.

Ratliff nominated Poling because she, “is an absolute joy to have in class. She has a fantastic attitude and work ethic to succeed. She has developed into a true leader in the classroom who helps inspire her classmates to do better. Audrey’s attitude, work ethic, and leadership make her an asset to school as well as her community.”

Poling’s favorite class is government, which she takes with Ratliff, who is her favorite teacher because he’s “funny, laid back, and he makes government enjoyable to learn.” In her free time, Poling enjoys the time she has with her little sister and with her friends whenever she can.

After graduation, Poling plans on attending either The Ohio University or The University of Cincinnati. Her major is undecided, but in 10 years, she sees herself graduated, beginning at a new job, and hopefully having a family.
