PIQUA — McDonald’s Student of the Week for the week of the Nov. 12-16 is sophomore Siara Grinstead. She is daughter of Kevin and Lisa Grinstead.

American Sign Language teacher, Sarah Bensman chose Grinstead for her honesty, care, and trustworthiness. Bensman said, “Siara has really grown up and matured over the last three years. She is kind and thoughtful, respectful of others, and always has a good attitude. She laughs a lot!”

Grinstead’s favorite teacher is Bensman because of her personality. Her favorite classes are show choir, with Tom Westfall, and geometry with Katelyn Jenkins. Grinstead is involved in show choir and golf as extracurricular activities.

Grinstead’s plan is to attend UVCC for cosmetology and then major in a business or government related field. However, she is undecided on where she wants to attend college; right now, she is interested in Miami University in Florida and the Ohio State University.

In her free time Grinstead listens to all kinds of music, goes shopping, and works out. Grinstead is most looking forward to, “doing good in school and succeeding, so she can grow as a person.”
