PIQUA — For the week of Nov. 5-9, Brandon Lightle, a teacher at PHS, nominated junior Alexa Burns as Student of the Week.

Burns is the daughter of Tabitha Righter, and is involved is Science Olympiad, DND, and Academic Challenge.

Lightle stated, “Lex is a very hard worker and often flies under the radar with her smarts. She comes to class with a can-do-attitude. She is an inspiration and a first class example of what a Science Olympiad member should be.”

Lightle emphasizes that she is a diligent, respectful, and has strong integrity. In Burns’ free time, she enjoys drawing.

Burns enjoys classes such as Physics, Chemistry, and any sort of science class. In 10 years, Burns hopes to hold a good job, something within the science field, after graduating from Ohio State University.
