Rose named to YSU president’s list

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Macklin Rose of Troy has been named to the president’s list for the spring semester at Youngstown State University. Rose is a Civil and Construction Engineering Technology major.

The president’s list recognizes those full-time undergraduate students who have earned at least a 4.0 GPA for not less than 12 semester hours’ credit in the semester just ended.

Hokky named to the dean’s list

ATLANTA, Ga. — Amanda Hokky of Troy was named to the dean’s list for the Spring 2017 semester at Georgia State University in Atlanta.

To be eligible for the dean’s list, degree-seeking students with a minimum Georgia State cumulative GPA of 2.00 must earn a 3.50 GPA for the semester and complete at least nine semester hours of academic credit with no incompletes.

Moore completes master’s program

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Troy resident, Kathleen Moore, received a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Strategic Public Relations degree during graduation ceremonies at The George Washington University (GWU) on May 21, 2017. Held on the National Mall, the university conferred associate, bachelor, master and doctorate degrees to approximately 6,000 students.

Moore also holds an MBA from Wright State University, a bachelor’s degree from Miami University, and a master’s certification in Project Management from GWU. Her career has focused primarily on providing marketing, communications, and public relations leadership for the financial and high tech industries.

Local students graduate

WILMINGTON, Ohio – Wilmington College conferred 254 graduating seniors with Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BS) degrees at its 141st annual commencement ceremony. Local students include:

Hicks named to dean’s list

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Hannah Hicks of Tipp City excelled during the Spring 2017 semester, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the dean’s list.
