Calhoun accepted to University of the Cumberlands

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — University of the Cumberlands has proudly accepted Bradley Calhoun of Troy for the upcoming academic year. UC welcomes Bradley, a current student at Tippecanoe High School, to the class of 2021.

UA Announces dean’s and president’s lists

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — A total of 11,758 students enrolled during the 2016 fall semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean’s List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President’s List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A’s). The UA Dean’s and President’s lists recognize full-time undergraduate students.

Local students include: Brittany Bowerman and Dylan Clapper of Tipp City.

Lofton participates in research forum

FINDLAY, Ohio — Brittany Lofton, of Troy participated in the University of Findlay’s Physical Therapy Research Forum on Feb. 2. Students participated in poster and platform presentations. The research forum promotes clinical research among students, faculty and community to foster and support evidence-based practice.

Collier named to dean’s list

COLUMBUS — Tyrone Collier Jr., a 2015 Piqua High School graduate pursuing a business degree, has been named to the Columbus State fall semester 2016 dean’s list.

The dean’s list is for students who have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher and have completed six credit hours or more for the semester.

Shawnee State names president’s list

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio — Abby Brinkman, a Middle Childhood Education major from Troy, has been named to the Shawnee State University president’s list for the fall semester 2016.

To be named on the list, students must be full-time and have achieved a grade point average of 4.0.
