Miami County Sheriff’s Office reports

MIAMI COUNTY — The following information is provided by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.

May 16

OVI: A deputy was dispatched to the 6000 block of Peters Road, Monroe Twp. in reference to a single-vehicle accident with possible injuries. After further investigation, the 39-year-old female driver Donna Jackson of Trotwood was found to be intoxicated. Her six-year-old son was seated in the rear of the vehicle. Both occupants were transported to Kettering Hospital in Troy to be medically evaluated. The female driver refused further testing and was placed under administrative license suspension. She was cited for driving while intoxicated, driving under suspension, failure to control and child endangering. The juvenile was released to his grandfather.

May 17

POSSESSION: Trevell Hudson, 23, of Troy, was charged with possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.

May 18

DAMAGE: A deputy was dispatched to the 8000 block of Lefevre Road, Elizabeth Twp. in reference to a criminal damaging report. The resident recently noticed a small hole in the side of his barn and through further investigation found a bullet casing on the other side of his barn. The bullet had traveled through his vehicle and had damaged a side window and left a exit hole on the other side of the camper. The resident wanted a report filed on the incident for insurance purposes, and he did not want to press any charges on the matter. The round was observed to be possibly a .308.

SIGN LIGHTS STOLEN: A deputy responded to a possible theft of a lights from a “road closed sign” in the 9000 block of Milton Potsdam, Union Twp. A resident reported seeing a dark colored truck at approximately 2 a.m. that pulled up to the sign, stayed for 15 minutes and then left. After he noticed the lights were missing. He was unable to give further detail about the vehicle or suspects in question. County garage was contacted for the missing lights.

May 19

OVERDOSE: A deputy responded to the 3600 block of Farrington, Washington Twp. on an assist squad complaint. Dispatch advised a male had possibly overdosed. Before arrival, dispatch advised the reporting party had administered Narcan and the male was alert and breathing. The male was transported by medics to UVMC.

May 20

SUSPICIOUS: Around noon, a resident in the 1900 block of Springwood, Piqua, reported a suspicious person going door to door asking for donations for a church baseball league. The caller felt the person was not actually with a church due to him not being able to give the name of the church. The male left the area before the deputy’s arrival, and he was not located.

THEFT: A deputy responded to a theft complaint to the 4600 DeWeese Road, Staunton Twp. Case is pending.

THEFT: A theft complaint was field in the 4200 block of U.S. Route 40, Bethel Twp.

May 21

LITTERING: A homeowner in the 5000 block of Iddings Road, Union Twp. reported someone dumped a large amount of trash onto the property. Case is pending.
