Police reports

Information provided by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office:

Dec. 20

OVI: A deputy responded to 8755 S. State Route 201, Tipp City in reference to an accident. Reporting party advised the driver was attempting to have some one pull the vehicle out prior to our arrival. The reporting party also advised the driver appears to be highly intoxicated. The deputy located the driver standing around the vehicle. The deputy made contact with Sean Brown who was determined was the driver. Mr. Brown was taken into custody and charged with OVI, Failure to Reinstate, and Failure to Control.

ATV STOLEN: A deputy responded to Fetters Rd., Newberry Township, Miami County Ohio in reference to an ATV in the middle of the roadway. Upon investigation the deputy learned the ATV was stolen from Darke County. The ATV was processed and turned over to the owner per the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

OVI: A deputy initiated a traffic stop on the listed vehicle for a traffic violation at State Route 41 and Myers Road, Troy. After further investigation the registered owner Andrew Rohr was arrested for OVI.

Dec. 21

JEWELRY MISSING: A resident in the 100 block of Wilson Road, Troy, reported that there were several items of jewelry missing from her residence. There was no signs of forced entry or evidence of a burglary to the residence. This matter is pending further investigation.

THEFT: A report of theft was made in the 2700 block of S. County Road 25-A, Troy.

DRUGS FOUND: While conducting a pre patrol vehicle inspection of car 5503, a small plastic bag that contained several small white crystals was located on the floor, behind the front passenger seat floor board.

The substance was taken to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the property room.

Dec. 22

MAIL BOX MISCHIEF: A deputy responded to the 4500 block of W. Demming Road, Piqua on a criminal damage complaint. The reporting party stated that sometime overnight someone had damaged his mailbox. The mailbox appeared to have been hit by some object causing damage to it. The reporting party stated that he does not have any suspects and wanted to report the damage due to this happening several times to him in the past.

Dec. 23.

PLATES GONE: A resident in the 100 block of East Monument Street, Pleasant Hill, called to report her license plate was stolen.

BURGLARY: A resident in the 4400 block of State Route 55, Troy, reports that while at work today an unknown subject broke into his residence. He found the front door standing open and the listed items stolen.

Dec. 26

OVI: Deputies responded to the7200 block of Piqua-Clayton Road, Covington, on a report of an accident with possible injury. After investigation, the driver, Christopher Vogler, was arrested for OVI.

STOLEN VEHICLE: A deputy responded to the 3100 block of Magnolia Drive, Troy, in reference to a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was later located by Huber Heights Police Department and picked up by the owner.

Dec. 27

OVI: A deputy stopped the listed vehicle for leaving the scene of the accident and a moving violation at 2300 block of State Route 202, Troy. After further investigation the driver was identified as the defendant Brian J Stockman and he was placed under arrest for OVI.

Dec. 28

ABANDONED VEHICLE: A deputy found a red Dodge Durango sitting in the roadway on Monroe

Concord Road at Magnolia. No was around the vehicle. It was unlocked and the deputy could not locate any keys.

Jim’s Towing responded and removed the vehicle from the roadway.

STOLEN CAR: A vehicle was located in a ditch at the intersection of Dayton Brandt Road and Walnut Grove Rd., Elizabeth Township. The owner later called in and reported the vehicle stolen.

Dec. 29

K9 FINDS SUSPECT: Deputies responded to the 8000 block of New Carlisle Road, New Carlisle for a man outside with a shotgun when a family member arrived at the house to speak to them about a domestic violence situation that happened in Clark County.

The suspect fled the house and was last seen going into the woods south of the residence. K9 Bear was deployed and tracked the suspect who was found in the woods. Deputies secured him and transferred custody to Clark County Sheriff’s Office on their domestic violence charges.

UNDERAGE: Deputies responded to a disturbance at 10900 Covington Bradford Road, Bradford. After speaking to the involved parties deputies found there was no physical disturbance. The two reporting parties, Nick Welch and Chris Wilkinson, were found to be intoxicated. They were also found to be under the age of 21 years old. Both of them and Shania Lee was charged with underage consumption. Nick Welch admitted to being the owner of a glass one hit pipe with marijuana residue. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
