CRIMINAL DAMAGING: A deputy was dispatched to the 500 block of Lincolnshire Drive, Troy, in reference damage caused to a home that is under construction by Keystone Homes builders.

Upon arrival the deputy was met by Keystone Homes representative, Nathan Gudorf. He advised his company was still the owners of the home while it is under construction. He further advised that some time between the hours of 5:30 p.m. on August 12 and 8:30 a.m. on August 13 someone entered into the residence and caused damage. It appeared that someone took a lamp that was stored in the attached garage and went into the home and broke three living room windows and a rear entry door window.

DRUGS: A deputy conducted a traffic stop on N. CR. 25A, in front of UVMC.

The stop led to a probable cause search of the vehicle. The driver was found to be in possession of heroin and crack cocaine. The female driver was incarcerated and property was seized. This case is closed.

VEHICLE FIRE: A deputy responded to 450 Essex Drive, Tipp City, on report of a vehicle fire. Upon arrival Tipp City Fire and medical personnel were with the male preparing to take him to the hospital. The deputy was advised by EMS he had suffered a seizure.

The male victim was identified as Roger Dils. Mr. Dils had made it home from work and apparently began to suffer a seizure prior to exiting his vehicle. It appears he hit the accelerator, crashed through his garage door and into the living room of his home. Mr. Dils’ vehicle had gotten stuck on some shelving stopping it from going all the way into the house.

The vehicle continued to run with his foot on the accelerator causing the driver side rear tire to spin. The entire house filled with smoke from the turning tire.

Roger Dils’ son, Justin was inside the home at the time. Justin was at the other end of the home and was uninjured. Justin was able to exit the house safely and call 911. Roger was transported by Tipp City EMS. Tipp City Fire had the electric shut off to the house and propped up the garage door to help secure the residence.
