Crawford is doctor of pharmacy student

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.— Caitlyn Crawford of Covington was among the newest members from University of the Sciences inducted into the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy Alpha Tau Chapter of Rho Chi, the Academic Honor Society in Pharmacy, on April 1. The Rho Chi Honor Society recognizes and encourages academic excellence.

To be nominated for membership in Rho Chi, a student must rank among the top 20 percent of his or her class and have completed at least the fall semester of their fourth year. The society also accepts membership for graduate students, faculty, alumni, as well as an honorary membership. New members are inducted into Rho Chi during the spring semester of each year.

Tara Snipes inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma

AKRON — Tara Snipes from Covington has been inducted into the Kappa of Ohio chapter of the international honor society Beta Gamma Sigma. As a student in the top 10 percent of their undergraduate class, Snipes is majoring in Information Systems Management at The University of Akron.

Their academic record, combined with other criteria, qualified them for membership in this premier honor society recognizing business excellence.

Devon Jester inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta at Heidelberg University

TIFFIN — Devon Jester of Houston is among 24 Heidelberg University students inducted April 3 into Alpha Lambda Delta, a national honorary the recognizes academic excellence of first-year students. Jester, a sophomore, is majoring in Psychology.

To qualify, students must have achieved a 3.5 or better grade-point average during their first year. Dr. Emily Isaacson, assistant professor of English, is the Heidelberg chapter’s advisor.

Alpha Lambda Delta has more than 230 chapters throughout the United States and more than 750,000 students have been inducted since the first chapter was started over 75 years ago.
