UVMC Foundation benefits from food truck launch

TROY — The UVMC Foundation benefitted from the new StoryPoint food truck’s first on-site community visit held last month at Upper Valley Medical Center. A portion of the proceeds were donated to the Foundation when the truck — named the Friendly Fork food truck — made a return visit for hospital patrons on June 7.

“We’re grateful to StoryPoint for making this donation in addition to allowing our employees to be among the first to taste the excellent cuisine served by their new food truck,” said Kathie Scarbrough, president and executive director of the UVMC Foundation.

“With the Friendly Fork, we’d like to give an opportunity to everyone in the community to enjoy the delicious, made from scratch food we have at StoryPoint of Troy,” said Kristy Osting, StoryPoint business development specialist. “The food truck menu is a brief sample of the delicious gourmet food our residents enjoy each day.”

“We were excited to have the hospital be our first Friendly Fork on-site visit, and for the Foundation to benefit from the event,” Osting added. “We know how important the UVMC Foundation is for hospital and our community and we want to help by giving back.”

Osting noted that StoryPoint will host a grand opening of the Troy facility June 29 from 4 to 7 p.m,, and the community is invited. Space is limited, so registration is requested online at www.storypoint.com.
