Realtor honored

TROY — The Midwestern Ohio Association of Realtors (MOAR) recently held their mock trial and annual meeting. During the annual meeting, a Miami County realtor was recognized for their excellence and contributions to the association.

Tambra Young of Berkshire Hathaway Professional Realty Services in Troy was awarded the Best Co-op award. This award exemplifies the realtors who are courteous and professional and go the extra mile to ensure a positive experience for all parties in a real estate transaction.

The Midwestern Ohio Association of Realtors has more than 475 members in Auglaize, Champaign, Logan, Mercer, Miami and Shelby counties.

Jones joins Unity

PIQUA — Unity National Bank is pleased to announce the addition of Chuck Jones as assistant vice president and commercial lender.

Jones has more than 30 years of banking experience in commercial lending and special assets with various banks in the Midwest and South, including Fifth Third, Key Bank and Bank One in Dayton. Fifth Third — Dayton transferred him to Florida several years ago and he recently relocated back to the area. Chuck graduated from Northwestern Business College and attended Bowling Green State University for MBA classes in addition to Ohio State University for real estate.

He is looking forward to getting involved in the church and youth sports activities.

Jones resides in Troy with his wife Terry, and they have two grown sons, Cody and Kiel.

Kestrel Urgent Care opens

PIQUA – Dr. Rustum Shahzad, MD, and Dr. Ajmal Shamim, MD, are board-certified physicians with over 25 years experience. The two have worked together to open Kestrel Urgent Care located at 100 N. Sunset Drive.

Their goal is to bring an affordable and less time-consuming alternative to the hospital emergency room. They will strive to offer prompt medical evaluations for the urgent care needs of children and adults alike in Piqua and surrounding areas.

They are excited to be a part of the Piqua community and will strive to provide quality urgent medical services including but not limited to: injuries and stitches; sports and employment physicals; flu shots; breathing treatments; urinalysis; and pregnancy testing.

The clinic hours will be weekends Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., eventually offering hours through the week as well. No appointment is necessary, and all ages are welcome. Please contact the clinic at (937) 615-6613 for questions about services.
