Bensman joins insurance company

PIQUA — Koverman Staley Dickerson Insurance is pleased to announce that Brian Bensman has joined their team. Brian will be working out of the Piqua office, located at 500 N. Wayne St.

Bensman brings with him 14 years of experience in the insurance industry. He has his property and casualty and life insurance licenses and is ready to be your insurance adviser. He also obtained his bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Wilmington College.

He grew up on a farm in Shelby County and currently resides in rural Miami County with his wife, Catherine and his son, Adam.

MacRitchie joins Unity

PIQUA — Unity National Bank is pleased to announce the addition of John MacRitchie as vice president, commercial lender.

MacRitchie has more than 30 years of banking experience, most recently retiring in April of this year from Wells Fargo Bank in Dayton. He received both his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and his master’s degree in Business Administration in Finance from the University of Toledo. During his banking career, he was employed with Sylvania Savings Bank as a credit vice president and internal auditor, AmeriTrust Company in Columbus as a commercial lending vice president, Huntington National Bank and 5/3 Bank in Dayton as a vice president middle market banking, Merrill Lynch in Dayton as a business financial adviser/commercial lending, and at Wells Fargo as a vice president of Corporate Banking.

MacRitchie has been actively involved in the community as a board member of Hospice of Miami County, Governance Committee of the Dayton Regional Manufacturing Association, Foundation Board of Dayton Children’s Hospital, Dayton Downtown Rotary, and a board member of the United Rehabilitation Services of Dayton.

He resides in Troy with his wife, Josephine, and son, Cameron.

Office Professionals honored

PIQUA — Upper Valley Career Center has announced the graduates of the Adult Division Office Professionals program. Janet Bailey and Jean Kronenberg of Piqua, Jennifer Renner of St. Paris, and Karen Lewis of DeGraff completed the course at the end of July.

Roger Fulk, Office Professional coordinator, congratulated the recent graduates on reaching this important achievement. “You entered this program with the goal of learning new skills. Over the past 10 months, you have grown tremendously through hard work and dedication. I am very proud of each of you,” said Fulk.

The Upper Valley Career Center Office Professional program holds classes at The Adult Technology Center in Piqua. The program prepares individuals to serve as administrative support professionals in a variety of career choices. Students receive extensive coursework and hands-on training in traditional office skills.
