YMCA offers youth overnight

MIAMI COUNTY — The Miami County YMCA Robinson Branch is offering a youth overnight on Friday, Dec. 11 for youth in first through sixth grade. There will be gym games and swimming, followed by pizza and movies.

Drop off begins at 9:15 p.m. and pick up is at 7 a.m. Saturday morning.

Tickets available for cabaret

PIQUA — The Piqua Library Friends will welcome the Lima Symphony Orchestra at 7 p.m. Dec. 13 in the fourth floor ballroom of the Fort Piqua Plaza.

This annual event is the primary fundraiser for the Friends group.

Tickets are $30 and are available at the Hallmark store on Main Street, Piqua.

Help build holiday Lego project

BRADFORD — On Saturday, Dec. 12, the Bradford Public Library is inviting all Lego lovers and aficionados to continue building the library’s Lego Christmas Village and Santa Claus Town.

All Legos will be provided for this project. Come in anytime between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The Lego building location will be in the Children’s and the Sci-Fi areas. This activity is recommended for kids 8 years and up through adults.

The village and Santa town will be displayed throughout the library with the names of the builders.

Also, this day will be BPL’s annual Christmas Cookie Exchange will be at 11:30 a.m. in The Community Room. Bring in three to four dozen of your favorite cookies and the recipe and you will leave with a variety of Christmas cookies.

A recipe booklet will be copied and given to you before leaving. This is a special event, which will also include a hot chocolate bar.

Y offers holiday day camp

MIAMI COUNTY — The Miami County YMCA is offering a Winter Holiday Day Camp program for first through sixth graders (kindergarteners with older siblings attending may also participate).

Camp will run December 21-23 and 28-30 at the Piqua and Robinson branches. Participants can enroll in any of the days they choose with each day beginning at 9 a.m. and finishing at 4 p.m. Each day has a special activity planned such as playing at Jumpy’s, ice skating at Hobart Arena, bowling in Troy, roller skating in Vandalia, watching a Movie at Cinemark or Danbarry, or visiting Boonshoft Museum, along with swimming and gym games.

Register at either branch or at 773-9622 in Piqua and 440-9622 in Troy.
