Donkey basketball slated

CASSTOWN — The Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter is hosting donkey basketball at 4 p.m. Nov. 4, in the Miami East Board of Education gymnasium. Doors will open at 3 p.m. Concessions will be available.

There will be free donkey rides for all children under 12 years of age. Pre-sale tickets are $6 and tickets at the door will be $8. Children 6 and under are free. All proceeds benefit the Fletcher Food Pantry.

Annual choir clinic to be held

PIQUA — The Piqua High School show choir “The Company” will present its annual Premier and Clinic on Saturday, Nov. 17. This event is open to children grades 1-8 from Piqua and the surrounding area. The day will begin at 9 a.m. and run to 2 p.m., with a public performance at 8 p.m.

For the evening performance, the students will learn choreography and vocals with current show choir members. This year will feature two choreographed numbers and one classic show choir ballade. The evening will conclude with the hometown premier of the 2018-19 show choir contest show.

To sign up your student for this day of song and dance, send a $25 entrance fee to Piqua High School, 1 Indian Trail, Piqua, OH 45356 or deliver to the main office at PHS during school hours.

Tickets for the evening performance are $5 for adults and $3 for students and will be sold at PHS the week before the concert in the main office and at the door the night of the show.

Davidson announces mobile office hours

TROY — Congressman Warren Davidson has announced mobile office hours to better service constituents in Butler, Preble, Darke, Miami, and Clark counties. A member of Rep. Davidson’s staff will travel to locations in these counties to enhance office availability and accessibility and address any issues or concerns constituents might have.

11:15 a.m. — Pleasant Hill Village Offices, 8 W. High St., Pleasant Hill

Craft show upcoming

WEST MILTON — Hoffman United Methodist Church will hold its annual Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 17, in the church activity center, 201 S. Main St., West Milton.

The event will feature 20-plus booths offering a wide variety of items including jewelry, wood crafted items, candles, baked goods and more.

The Methodist Women will also offer their homemade, ready-to-cook pot pie by the bag.

The Hoffman Cafe will provide coffee and doughnuts, pop, sandwiches, homemade chicken corn soup, vegetable soup, and a variety of pies.

Troop adventure offered

TROY — Come join staff from 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9 until 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 for a fun and educational overnight adventure for your troop.

You’ll discover the unique adaptations of Ohio’s wildlife as you encounter BNC’s wildlife ambassadors. This program is $25 per scout and $20 per leader, and is filled with nature games and lessons, as well as a late night snack, night hike, cool craft and continental breakfast.

“Camp out” in the comfort of the Heidelberg Auditorium and create lasting memories during this overnight adventure. Deadline for registration and payment is 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5. Pre-register and pay by Monday, Oct. 29 and get a wildlife field guide for your troop. Girl Scout troops may now pay by cash, check or credit card.
