PIQUA — BalanceYoga by Amanda is excited to announce a new addition to their summer yoga schedule,”Pop Up Practice!” Notice of these free “pop up” classes will be given least 24 hours in advance — somewhere in Piqua! Perhaps they’ll show up at a park? On the bike path? A coffee shop or other local business? Stay tuned!
The first “Pop Up Practice” will held this at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 21 — International Yoga Day — in front of the city building, 201 W. Water St., Piqua. Grab your yoga mats and join Amanda Brown of BalanceYoga for an energizing session designed to awaken mind, body and spirit.
Brown received her 200-hour certification as a Nationally Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) in April 2012 and her certification as a Subtle Energy Yoga Therapist (SEYT) in May 2012 at elementsLife. She also has a Bachelor of Education in Community Health from the University of Toledo.
She believes that yoga is as fun as it is transformative and strives to balance the two in her teaching style. A wife, mother and careerwoman, Brown credits yoga with allowing her to find her authentic self and for bringing “balance” back into her life.
In the case of rain, “Pop Up Practice” will be moved to the BalanceYoga studio at 312 N. Wayne St., Suite B.
