Autumn equinox event

TROY — Join The Brukner Nature Center Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. for the Autumn Equinox Event. Doors open at 7 p.m. for you to grab a glass of organic cider and delicious autumn fare as you enjoy the Autumn Art Exhibit, featuring the whimsical art of Charley Harper, Cincinnati’s beloved American Modernist artist best known for his highly stylized wildlife prints.

At 7:15 p.m., there will be an engaging presentation by Miami University professor and ornithologist Dave Russell and his wife, Jill. For the past five summers, Jill and Dave have studied the growth and development of young Boreal Owls in the taiga forests of interior Alaska. Come along on this exploration of the secret lives of nesting Boreal Owls and the owl’s place within the arctic ecosystem.

Admission is just $5 for BNC Members and $10 for non-members. All proceeds from this event, including the sale of the photographs throughout the exhibit, will support our mission of wildlife conservation.
