Water Service to be shut off for portions of Indian Ridge

PIQUA — On Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at approximately 9 a.m. the contractor doing work on County Road 25-A will shut the water off to sections of Indian Ridge Subdivision for maintenance on the water main. Streets included in this shutdown are: Delaware Circle, Chinook Pass, Seminole Way, Kiowa Court and Navajo Trail. The contractor will make an effort to get the work done as quickly as possible.

Once the water service has been restored, those residents will be under a boil advisory until it is ensured that the water is safe for consumption. Red hangers will be distributed on Monday to remind residents that the boil advisory is in service and once it is lifted, green hangers will be passed out. The city of Piqua website and social media outlets will also be updated with information.

The city thanks the residents for their patience and cooperation as the contractors complete the job. The city would also like to apologize for the unscheduled shutdown earlier in the week. That event was due to a busted water main and was not part of the scheduled work being done.

If you have any questions, please call the city of Piqua Water Treatment Plant at 778-2090 or the city of Piqua Underground Utilities Department at 778-2018.
