April 19

ACCIDENT: A deputy responded to a traffic crash on N. County Road 25A, near Eldean Rd.

The crash was between a bicycle and a Chevy Cavalier. The bicyclist was transported to UVMC. The bicycle was transported to the Miami County Sheriff’s Office Training Center for safe keeping. The bike will be released once the owner claims it.

April 20

TRAFFIC STOP: A deputy initiated a traffic stop on the listed vehicle for an equipment violation. After investigation the registered owner Darnell Wilson was arrested for DUS, Seatbelt, and Plate Light. Mr. Wilson was disruptive throughout the whole stop and made multiple racial comments.

FRAUD: A Piqua resident received a check in the mail for $1,200. He was also given instructions to cash the check, keep a certain amount for himself and send the rest Western Union. The resident deposited the check and spent 238$ before finding out it was fake.

April 21

WARRANT: A deputy initiated a traffic stop on the listed vehicle for a turn signal violation at the Tipp City Wendy’s restaurant. Subsequently the driver was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant out of Hancock County Ohio. She was also cited for driving under suspension in addition to the turn signal violation. The male passenger was taken into custody for felony possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

WARRANT: An anonymous caller stated Daniel Black has an arrest warrant, and is possibly at the Bradford location. A deputy made contact with Daniel there and the warrant was confirmed through Montgomery County. Daniel was taken into custody without incident, and transported to Northwoods Blvd where he was turned over to a Montgomery County Deputy.
