Students hold mock interviews

SIDNEY — The Christian Academy Schools eighth grade Career Education Class, in cooperation with Workforce Partnership, held mock interviews recently to put into practice what the students had been learning.

Human resource representatives from American Trim, Area Energy & Electric and Emerson Climate Tech. came to CAS to meet with students and provided them tips for interviews. Each representative met with a group of two to three students each. The students were able to provide each representative with their resume. The representatives gave advice to each student on how to improve their resumes. In addition, they provided them with basic interview skills.

Finally, the students were able to go through a mock interview. Alyssa Pepiot, a CAS student from Piqua, said she learned she can practice what she is going to say before she has an interview.

“It actually helped!” said Pepiot, the daughter of Jeff and Melanie Pepiot.
