CASSTOWN — The April 2016 Miami East-MVCTC FFA Members of the Month are Hannah Wilson and Daniel Everett. Wilson is the daughter of Brady and Sena Wilson of Troy. Everett is the son of Mark and Julie Everett of Fletcher. Both are seniors and four year members of the FFA Chapter.
Wilson is a State FFA Top 4 Proficiency Finalist in the area of Specialty Crop for her Supervised Agricultural Experience of raising and marketing mums. Hannah will also earn the State FFA Degree at the 2016 State FFA Convention. Hannah has participated in the Food Science Career Development Event and Farm Day for Miami East second graders.
Everett is earning the State FFA Degree at the 2016 State FFA Convention where he, too, will be a member of the State FFA Choir for the fourth year in a row. Daniel’s Supervised Agricultural Experience Program consists of job placement at Williams Show Horses. He has attended FFA Camp for three years and fruit sales.
Every month of the school year the Miami East FFA will select a student to be the FFA Member of the Month. The officer team will nominate one student that has been actively involved in the FFA chapter, school and community activities. If selected, the member will be recognized at the monthly FFA meeting, have their picture displayed in the Miami East Agricultural Education Classroom, and will receive a special memento on celebration of their accomplishment.
