MIAMI COUNTY — Two Miami East High School students were injured when their vehicle was struck by a semi-trailer at the intersection of Loy and Burr Oak-New Hope roads Wednesday afternoon.
The accident was reported around 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. According to reports, the semi pulled into the intersection but did not clear it when the car had the right of way. The car then struck the semi trailer, injuring two of the three occupants of the car. The driver of the semi was not injured. Preliminary reports indicate the driver of the semi-trailer may have been at-fault. Names of the semi driver and vehicle occupants were not available.
