PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.
THEFT: A white male reportedly stole two cases of beer from Speedway on the 1500 block of Covington Avenue on Jan. 22 at 3 p.m. Dustin R. Jones, 30, of Piqua was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft and first-degree misdemeanor receiving stolen property in connection with this incident.
A male juvenile was reportedly arrested and charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft and first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence at Walmart on Jan. 23 at 3:30 p.m.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A complainant “stated someone kicked a large dent into the side of her vehicle,” according to police reports. It was reported on the 1000 block of South Street on Jan. 22 at 3:54 p.m.
There was a report of a criminal damage on the 600 block of Second Street on Jan. 23 at 10:20 a.m. According to police reports, “a vehicle had the rear window busted and the sides had been keyed. A front window of the residence was also broken.”
SUSPICIOUS: A resident stated that she found footprints going around her house on the 1500 block of Edge Street on Jan. 22 at 4:54 p.m.
An anonymous caller stated that two males were arguing in the area of S. Roosevelt Avenue and Young Street when “they made statements that they were going to get firearms and return” on Jan. 23 at 2:17 a.m. The area was checked and no one was located.
FOUND PROPERTY: An orange Rialto Quest mountain bike was found at Bay N Wash on the 1300 block of Covington Avenue on Jan. 22.
DISTURBANCE: There was a report of a disturbance at the Colonial Terrace Apartments on the 1900 block of Covington Avenue on Jan. 22 at 6:47 p.m. Brian A. Howard, 18, of Piqua was charged with first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence in connection with this incident.
ONE VEHICLE ACCIDENT: There was a report of a one vehicle accident of a white pick-up truck on the 100 block of S. Main Street on Jan. 23 at 1:56 a.m. The driver was reportedly found to be intoxicated. Casey C. Gibson, 33, of West Milton was charged with first-degree misdemeanor OVI in connection with this incident.
