Information provided by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office:
DUS:A deputy noticed the described vehicle traveling north on State Route 201 near Ross Road, Bethel Township, Miami County. The vehicle did not have a light illuminating the rear license plate. The deputy stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Michael Fulyiler. The deputy discovered his driver’s license was suspended and issued him a citation for DUS and no plate light.
SUSPECTED OVERDOSE: Miami County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an assist squad call in the 7000 block of State Route 41, Troy. According to the report, Terry Jaynes, 40, of Tipp City, was found deceased in a bedroom from a possible drug overdose. Evidence was collected and the body was released to the Montgomery County Crime Lab for an autopsy.
POSSESSION: A deputy made a traffic stop on the listed vehicle for traffic and registration violations near the Upper Valley Medical Center on County Road 25-A, Troy. After investigation the registered owner Richard Banthem was cited for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and traffic violations. Mr. Banthem and his passenger Brittany Etherington were argumentative and disruptive during the investigation.
THEFT: A deputy was dispatched to a theft complaint at 3000 block of State Route 48, Ludlow Falls. A deputy made contact with the complainant, who stated that someone had taken money from their deceased father’s bank account.
SCHOOL ISSUE: A deputy responded to Bradford School for a theft complaint. It was found a 9 year old stole a debit card from a teacher’s aid.
THEFT: A deputy responded to 6900 block of Karns Road, West Milton for a burglary report. The house was found to be broken into between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Targeted items were jewlery and a safe. This case is pending further investigation.
FRAUD:A deputy spoke with a Troy resident in reference his credit being ran numerous times. He stated several cell phone companies and a jewelry store sent him letters referencing his interest in them. He contacted each business and told them he did not request any information from them. He contacted Trans Credit Union and froze his bank accounts. At this time no money has been taken or credit cards have been open. He requested a report to send to each company.
THEFT:A deputy responded to the listed address on a theft complaint in the 4000 block of Dinsmore Road, Tipp City. The deputy made contact with the victim who stated that sometime between 12/1/2015 and 1/5/2016 someone had taken her diamond ring from the safe located inside the residence.
