Piqua police reports highlights


PIQUA — The following information is provided by Piqua Police Department reports:

TRESPASSING: Officer responded on Aug. 14 on the report of a trespassing incident that occurred the day prior on the 300 block of North Wayne Street. While on scene, the suspect came back to the residence and was charged with trespassing. Crystal S. Litton, 39, of Piqua, was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal trespass in connection with this incident. Litton was also charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal trespass again on Aug. 15 for reportedly trespassing on the complainant’s property again on the 300 block of North Wayne Street.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: The passenger-side windows on a vehicle were broken sometime overnight between Aug. 13-14 on the 500 block of Vine Street.

BURGLARY: There was a report of three packs of cigarettes packs and a PlayStation 4 being stolen from a residence on the 100 block of Young Street while it was occupied between 6:30-9:30 a.m. on Aug. 14. Investigation is pending.

ACCIDENT: There was a report of a traffic crash at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Aug. 14 on the 200 block of College Street. The at-fault driver advised he attempted to cross through stopped traffic to get to the opposite lane. He also advised the other vehicle involved was moving into a turn lane, striking his vehicle. The at-fault driver was cited.

THEFT: There was a report of a theft at Walmart at 4 p.m. on Aug. 14. Subject pushed out a shopping cart of items and left in a dark colored two-door car that went south on Interstate-75. Manager at the store couldn’t access video and wasn’t sure what was taken.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Officer dispatched to a disturbance at 8 p.m. on Aug. 14 on the 1300 block of Covington Avenue. Officer warned four individuals for disorderly conduct.

There was a report of a disturbance at 11:35 p.m. on Aug. 14 on the 200 block of Wood Street. One subject was gone prior to officer arrival.

An intoxicated male subject was reported to be lying by trash cans at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 15 on the 600 block of North Main Street. An officer woke the subject, who ran away and sat in a truck. He was detained and later released to a sober friend.

There was a report of a disturbance at 8 p.m. on Aug. 15 on the 1500 block of Covington near Kroger. It appeared several subjects were disorderly, and they were all warned.

CHILD ENDANGERING: Complainant advised of a 2-year-old child walking in the street at 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 14. The location was redacted. Mother was located.

SUSPICIOUS: There was a report of subjects chasing the complainant at 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 14 in the area of Second and Yale streets. Nobody was located.
