Piqua police reports highlights

PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

WARRANT: A subject with a warrant was seen outside of the YMCA on the 200 block of W. High Street on Dec. 23 at 5:20 p.m. Matthew A. King, 20, of Piqua is facing misdemeanor criminal damaging or endangering, misdemeanor discharging firearms, and misdemeanor domestic violence.

Piqua police made contact with a male with a warrant walking down the street on the 500 block of N. Main Street on Dec. 24 at 3 a.m. Edward D. Kuykendall, 48, of Piqua is facing three counts of misdemeanor disorderly conduct from 2012, one count of misdemeanor intoxicated or drugged pedestrian on highway from 2013, one count of misdemeanor open container from 2014, one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct from 2015, and one count of misdemeanor criminal damaging or endangering from 2015.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: There was a report of two intoxicated males arguing with each other on the 500 block of S. Wayne Street on Dec. 24 at 6:30 a.m. Both males reportedly agreed to stay away from each other for the evening and were later warned for disorderly conduct.

There was a report of subjects yelling in the roadway in the area of the N. County Road 25-A and the 83 southbound off ramp on Dec. 24 at 3:30 p.m. The subjects were reportedly in a verbal argument over one being cut off coming onto the I-75 off ramp. They were warned for disorderly conduct.

There was a reported dispute over children visitation, which resulted in subjects alleging they had smacked each other on the 400 block of New Street on Dec. 24 at 8:20 p.m. The subjects were warned for disorderly conduct.

SUSPICIOUS: An officer responded to a residence on the 300 block of Gordon Street where a caller reported hearing women “stomping on the floor and screaming in the apartment located above him” on Dec. 24 at 10 a.m., according to police reports. Upon arrival, two female tenants stated that everything was okay and “that they saw a mouse running in the kitchen and panicked.”

There was a report of two suspicious males walking in the alleyway behind a residence on the 800 block of Park Avenue on Dec. 24 at 1:15 p.m. and possibly loitering around a garage not belonging to them. An officer checked the area and no suspects were found.

THEFT: There was a report of a theft from a motor vehicle in the Walmart parking lot on Dec. 24 between 11:40 a.m. and noon. A tablet was reported stolen.

A victim reported that someone had gone through her vehicle on the 1000 block of Camp Street on Dec. 24 at 5:45 p.m. A few items were reported taken.

Scott B. Reedy, 28, of Piqua was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft on Dec. 23 for an incident in November.

A warrant was filed for Jerry J. Sanders, 49, of Piqua for fifth-degree felony theft on Dec. 24.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A green Ford Explorer appeared to have had a rock thrown through the rear passenger side window. The damage was noticed on Dec. 24 at 12:40 p.m.

A victim stated that his vehicle was hit by another vehicle on the 700 block of S. Sunset Drive sometime between midnight and 12:44 p.m. on Dec. 24.
