Library celebrates Kids Day

PIQUA — The Children’s Department of the Piqua Public Library, along with the Friends of the Library, celebrated Kids Discovery Day on Saturday, July 2.

Mike Hemmelgarn entertained a packed library Lobby with ventriloquism, magic, and juggling in the morning, and Anita Howitt from the Columbus LEGO Club conducted a LEGO workshop in the afternoon.

Children learned LEGO building techniques, marveled at the elaborate city scapes, buildings and moving trains of the LEGO club members, and designed and made their own LEGO creations.

Some of those creations are now on display in the Children’s Department for the public to view.
