Pet Palace celebrating 20 years
PIQUA — Pet Palace, celebrating 20 years of being in business, will offer an open house on Tuesday, July 2 at it location at 430 W. High St., Piqua.
Stop in say hello or make appointment and enter to when a pet gift basket. Treats willl be offered to four-legged friends and their parents.
The business includes certified groomers and certified bather technicians.
City offices to close
TROY ∏ Troy City offices will be closed Thursday, July 4, in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
City refuse collection and curbside recycling will not be delayed and will be collected based on the usual weekly schedule.
Vacation at the park events set
TIPP CITY — Tipp-Monroe Community Services will offer “Vacation at the Park” for children 4-9 years of age.
Brukner, the Miami County Soil & Water Conservation District, Miami County Public Health and Miami County Park District, through their public education programs, will bring a variety of information pertaining to the subject of the week. We also have many guests that come and share their knowledge with the campers. Campers meet at the Roundhouse at the Tipp City Park. The cost is $45 resident or $60 non-resident per week. Camp is Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.
The themes are as follows:
Space is the Place, July 8-12 — Blast off on the Starship Green Umbrella for a week long journey into worlds unknown. Space campers will travel to stars and galaxies and be launched into places beyond their imagination. This week of space exploration will be out of this world.
Don’t mess with Mother Nature!, July 15-19 — After all, nature is a powerhouse. Weather can be wicked and unpredictable with mud, floods, snow in April and spring breezes in January. Uncover the secret behind nature’s greatest magic tricks.
Disney, Disney Everywhere, July 22-26 — Make sure you wish to be at this week full of entertainment, all about Disney movies, cartoons and fairy tales. You will have lots of opportunities to wear costumes and encounter your favorite characters.
All Ball, July 29-Aug. 2 — For an all-around good time, sign up for this week and run with the ball, catch the ball, kick the ball, bat the ball and come to a Masquerade Ball. Tipp City Junior baseball players and umpires will teach some techniques, plus you never know what you might learn.
Tipp Monroe Community Services is a local nonprofit organization responsible for identifying and filling the needs of Tipp City and Monroe Township residents. They provide recreational, educational, cultural and social service programs.
