Covington Church to host salad luncheons

COVINGTON — It’s that time of year again! The Women’s Fellowship of the Covington Christian Church will again have their salad luncheons on the third Friday of each of the next five months.

If you have not enjoyed the large assortment of homemade salads, desserts, and finger sandwiches, come and join us from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015. Diners can enjoy our specialty, “Hot Chicken Salad” as well as other desserts, salads and a drink for a small donations of $6.00. Carry outs are available upon request.

The church is located at 115 N. Pearl Street in Covington and is air conditioned and handicap accessible. Come and enjoy food, fellowship and fun!

Please use the basement entrance in the alley on the north side of the church. We look forward to seeing you!

Covington Community Vacation Bible School

COVINGTON — The Covington Community Vacation Bible School this year is titled “Everest: Conquering Challenges with God’s Mighty Power.” It will be held from June 22-26, at the Covington Church of the Brethren.

The Vacation Bible School will start at 9 a.m and end at noon each day. There will be a picnic and program to finish off the VBS week on Friday evening.

Father’s Day worship services set

MIAMI COUNTY — Bethel and Casstown United Methodist Churches are pleased to invite all to attend worship services on Father’s Day, June 21, and enjoy the talents of the Light Readers. They will be leading worship with their inspirational skits and singing. It is always a pleasure to have them visit. Services will be held at 9 a.m. at Bethel UMC, 2505 E. Loy Road, Piqua, and at 10:45 a.m. at Casstown UMC, 102 Center St., Casstown.

Amazing Grace Day Camp and Vacation Bible School

PIQUA — Amazing Grace Day Camp and St. John’s Lutheran Church’s Vacation Bible School “A Love that Never Ends” will be held Monday, June 29 through Friday, July 3 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 248 Wood Street in Piqua.

Day Camp is a week long camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for those entering first through 7th grade without needing to stay away from home! Lutheran Outdoor Ministries of Ohio (LOMO) will lead the day camp in partnership with St John’s Lutheran Church, Piqua. VBS is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for age 3 through entering Kindergarten.

Each day of camp and VBS is filled with activities that include crafts, singing, games, sports, Bible study, and special events such as Christmas in July and Family Night.
