FOUND: An officer responded to a call referencing a syringe being found in a yard at a residence on the 800 block of West Ash Street on Nov. 23 at 2:30 p.m. Syringe appeared to be unused. Syringe will be destroyed.
Police responded to a call referencing a female subject locating drug-related items in a spare bedroom at a residence on the 100 block of Linden Avenue on Nov. 24 at approximately 11 a.m. Items were collected and placed in storage to be destroyed.
HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: A caller’s vehicle was parked on the street on the 300 block of East Water Street and was hit by another vehicle on Nov. 23 at 2:35 p.m. The suspect vehicle did not stop.
A hit skip accident was reported in the area of East Ash Street and Centre Court on Nov. 23 at approximately 4:10 p.m.
A hit skip accident was reported in the area of South and Main streets on Nov. 24 at 6:45 a.m. A parked vehicle was struck, and the at-fault vehicle was not located. No suspect information is known.
SUSPICIOUS: There was a report of gunshots being fired on the 1100 block of Van Way on Nov. 24 at approximately 4:35 a.m. Units responded and searched the area. No one was located outside, and nothing was found. No other shots were heard or reported.
DISTURBANCE: Dispatch advised a male subject was attempting to fight with family members on Wilson Avenue on Nov. 24 at 10:45 a.m. The male subject was located and taken to UVMC for a mental health evaluation.
There was a report of a disturbance between two male subjects on the 800 block of Camp Street on Nov. 24 at approximately 3:30 p.m. The subjects were located, and one subject was warned for disorderly conduct.
Police responded to a dispute on the 500 block of South Wayne Street on Nov. 24 at 5:05 p.m. A male subject and a female subject were warned for disorderly conduct. The female subject was also warned for trespassing.
A resident of a nursing home heard arguing at Heartland and contacted 911 on Nov. 24 at approximately 8:30 p.m. The arguing was due to a resident trying to touch a staff member inappropriately.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A caller reported the mirror on her vehicle was broken sometime overnight on the 700 block of Linden Avenue between Nov. 23-24. Unknown suspects.
There was a report of a female subject causing damage to a door on the 300 block of Camp Street on Nov. 25 at 12:15 a.m.
A female subject reported the driver’s side window of her vehicle was shot on Nov. 25 at approximately 10 p.m.
COUNTERFEIT BILL: Police responded to a call referencing Kroger receiving a fake $20 bill on Nov. 24. No suspect information was available.
THEFT: There was a report of a theft from a vehicle on the 700 block of Robinson Avenue on Nov. 24 sometime between 3:40-6:40 p.m. The victim stated several CDs were taken from her vehicle.
A male subject reported his vehicle was stolen by a female subject on the 900 block of Scott Drive on Nov. 25 at approximately 10:30 p.m.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Lug nuts on a tire were loosened on the 1300 block of Covington Avenue sometime between Nov. 24-25. No suspects at this time.
ACCIDENT: There was a report of a two-vehicle accident in the area of East Ash Street and Scott Drive on Nov. 25 at approximately 1:15 p.m. There was nominal damage, and no injuries were reported.
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of Big Lots on East Ash Street on Nov. 25 at approximately 2 p.m. The pedestrian had minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by squad.
A car struck a deer in the area of North County Road 25-A and Fox Drive on Nov. 25 at approximately 10:15 p.m. The car was towed from the scene. The deer was killed from the collision.
There was a report of a traffic crash with no injuries in the area of East Ash and Spring streets on Nov. 26 at 5:55 a.m. The drivers signed a crash waiver.
