Piqua police reports highlights


PIQUA — All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A complainant advised the back window was busted out of her vehicle on the 400 block of East Ash Street overnight between Nov. 15-16.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: An officer was dispatched to two juveniles fighting in gym class at the Piqua High School on Nov. 16 at approximately 11:45 a.m. Two male juveniles were cited for minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

BURGLARY: A window was busted out on a residence on the 500 block of Lincoln Street while homeowner was at work on Nov. 16. It was reported at 3:30 p.m. A video game console and blender were reported missing.

SHOPLIFTING: There was a report of shoplifting at Dollar General on Nov. 16 at 10:10 a.m. Ann M. Sayre, 51, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident.

There was a report of shoplifting at Walmart on Nov. 16 at approximately 5 p.m. Ashley D. Gibson, 31, of Piqua, was charged with theft in connection with this incident.

DRUG OVERDOSE: A female subject was found unresponsive but breathing on the 800 block of West Ash Street on Nov. 17 at 1 a.m. She had reportedly overdosed. She was transported to the hospital first and then incarcerated at the jail on a warrant.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT: A male subject reportedly broke into vehicle to take unknown items and then stole a different vehicle on the 600 block of West North Street on Nov. 18 at approximately 2 p.m. Dennis W. McDaniel, 52, at large, was charged with fourth-degree felony theft, first-degree misdemeanor theft, and second-degree misdemeanor criminal damaging in connection with this incident.

DRUG OFFENSE: A male driver was stopped for not having any working brake lights in the area of Miami Street and South Roosevelt Avenue on Nov. 19 at approximately 1 a.m. A consent search was conducted, and heroin capsule was located on the driver. Daniel L. Leonard, 48, of Piqua, was charged with fifth-degree felony possession of heroin in connection with this incident.
