TROY — The Miami County Sheriff’s Office has promoted several employees from within the department.
Deputy Lieutenant Michael Marion has been promoted to deputy captain and will serve as the jail administrator. Marion is a 17-year veteran of the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.
Correction Lieutenants Nathan Collett and Dawn Thomas have been promoted to assistant jail administrators. Collett is a 19-year veteran and Thomas has served with the Miami County Sheriff’s Office for 21 years.
Correction sergeants Lee Larimore and Jeffrey Coats have been promoted to the rank of correction lieutenant. Larimore and Coats are both 17-year veterans of the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.
Correction officers Perry Gullette, Brandyn Mason and, Kenneth Welbaum have been promoted to the rank of correction sergeant. Gullette has served for three years, Mason for two years, and Welbaum has served for five years with the Miami County Sheriff’s Office.
“I am proud to announce the promotion of eight employees to more efficiently manage jail operations,” Miami County Sheriff Dave Duchak said in a news release.
He said the employees have earned their new places within the office.
“All those promoted have distinguished themselves as hard working employees that have served with commitment and dedication,” Duchak said. “The promotions are well-deserved and much success is wished towards their future endeavors.”
