Students enjoy ‘Girls Night Out’

PIQUA — Guidance counselor Toni Riley recently coordinated the first annual “Girls Night Out” for students in grades 7-8 at Piqua Junior High School.

The Oct. 12 event offered several different stations that the girls could visit during the evening, including Yoga, Self-defense, Healthy Eating, Hair, Nails, Facials, Positive Imaging, and Game Night.

After visiting the various stations, where they collected items for their “swag bags,” the young ladies enjoyed pizza, popcorn, dessert, and a showing of the comedy, “Mean Girls.”

Riley said she hopes to make the free “Girls Night Out” an annual event.
