Piqua police reports highlights


PIQUA — All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

KNIFE AT SCHOOL: A male juvenile reportedly brought a knife to school at Piqua Central Intermediate School on Oct. 12 at approximately 3:40 p.m. The male juvenile, 11, was charged with fifth-degree felony illegal conveyance of a deadly weapon.

THEFT: There was a report of a stolen cell phone at the Piqua Junior High School on Oct. 12 at approximately 12:45 p.m. The complainant recovered the phone in the suspect’s book bag after reviewing video from within the building. A male juvenile, 13, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft.

Police responded to a call referencing a female subject stealing items from Kroger on Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. The female subject was located and arrested for theft. Leslie A. Lewis, 53, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident.

DRUG OFFENSE: Police were dispatched to the 300 block of South Street for a drug overdose complaint on Oct. 13 at approximately 3:30 p.m. A subject advised he administered two doses of Narcan to someone who was overdosing on drugs. Ryan J. Simpson, 24, of Piqua, was charged with second-degree misdemeanor possession of a drug abuse instrument in connection with this incident.

While police were searching for a subject with a warrant, illegal contraband was reportedly located at a residence on the 300 block of East Water Street on Oct. 13 at approximately 10 p.m. The subject with a warrant was not located. Shawn W. Wright, 45, of Piqua, was charged with fifth-degree felony drug possession and first-degree misdemeanor possession of a drug abuse instrument in connection with this incident.

DISTURBANCE: Police responded to a call referencing a male subject at a residence acting disorderly on the 400 block of Garnsey Street on Oct. 13 at approximately 8:10 p.m. A male subject was warned of disorderly conduct on a prior call. Upon arrival, the male subject was located outside of the residence acting disorderly. Demetrique E. Stewart, 31, of Piqua, was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.

There was a report of a disturbance involving several males physically fighting on Echo Lake Drive on Oct. 14 at 4 p.m. Dylan S. Johnson, 25, of Troy; Christopher T. Miller, 36, of Piqua; and Douglas A. Miller, 32, of Piqua, were cited with minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.

BURGLARY: An open door was reported at a vacant residence on Echo Lake Drive on Oct. 13 at approximately 10 p.m. An open door next to the garage was also found open. The residence was checked with nothing located inside. The son of the deceased property owner later reported items missing from the residence, which went missing sometime between Sept. 30 and Oct. 13.

ASSAULT: There was a report of a female subject assaulting another female subject at Wendy’s on Oct. 14 at approximately 12:45 p.m. Lillie Miller, 70, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor assault, and Sheryl G. Kolker, 57, of Piqua, was cited for minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
