Sept. 29

ATV ISSUE: While driving east on Fenner Road towards Barnhart Road, a deputy observed an ATV driving east on Fenner Road and pull into the driveway in the 2000 block of Fenner Road, Concord Twp. After speaking with all parties involved, a warning was given for driving the ATV on a public roadway.

TRAFFIC STOP: A deputy observed a vehicle pass another vehicle, going into oncoming traffic in a no passing zone, and almost hitting the cruiser in the area of Crossbow Lane and Sherwood Drive, Troy. The deputy stopped the vehicle. Upon further investigation, Christopher French was cited for reckless operation of a motor vehicle, passing in a no passing zone, and driving under suspension.

MENACING: Cody Francis, 27, of Pleasant Hill, was charged with aggravated menacing.

Oct. 1

K9 DETAIL: A deputy walked K9 Bear through Covington High School for a drug sniff.

JAIL ISSUE: A deputy was dispatched to the downtown jail in reference to an unresponsive female.

Oct. 2

OVI: A deputy initiated a traffic stop on the listed vehicle for a traffic violation at State Route 48 and Fenner Road, Ludlow Falls. After investigation, the registered owner Shelly Prejean of Piqua was arrested for marked lanes, OVI, possession of methamphetamine, and resisting arrest.

JUVENILE ISSUES: A deputy responded to 401 W. Main St., Fletcher, on the report of stolen pills. After further investigation, two juveniles were issued a summons for being unruly and possession of marijuana.

NEIGHBOR ISSUE: A deputy responded to the 8300 block of Lostcreek Shelby, Brown Twp., on a report of a neighbor acting in a disorderly manner, using foul language and yelling at the reporting party. A video of the incident was obtained by the reporting party. Charges pending contact with the prosecutor.

Oct. 3

CHILD ABUSE: Deputies were dispatched on a child abuse complaint made by an elementary counselor. After investigation, a suspect has been charged with child endangering.
