Piqua police reports highlights


PIQUA — All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

THEFT: Medication was reported stolen on the 1300 block of Brook Street sometime between Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.

There was a report of a known male subject stealing items from a residence on the 100 block of West North Street on Sept. 1.

There was a theft at Dollar General on Sept. 2 at approximately 10:10 a.m. Pictures of the theft were obtained, but the suspect could not be identified.

A subject reported the theft of a newspaper box on the 1100 block of Forest Avenue that occurred on Sept. 2 sometime between noon and 8:45 p.m.

ACCIDENT: There was an accident with no injuries on the 1200 block of East Ash Street on Sept. 1 at approximately 5:30 p.m.

DISTURBANCE: There was a verbal argument among multiple subjects on the 1300 block of Covington Avenue on Sept. 1 at approximately 7:40 p.m. All subjects separated.

A male subject reported subjects being verbal at a residence on the 600 block of South Wayne Street on Sept. 1 at approximately 9:50 p.m. A female subject was trespassed from the residence. A male subject was warned for telephone harassment.

A male subject and female subject got into an argument over where a car was parked on the 400 block of West High Street on Sept. 1 at 10 p.m. The female was visiting family, and both were disorderly during the argument in the street. The female struck a car in the area and left. Attempts were made to contact the female subject for further investigation.

A juvenile complainant advised other juveniles were at a residence on the 500 block of South Main Street wanting to fight him on Sept. 2 at 8 p.m. The juveniles were trespassed from the residence.

MENACING: A mother reported a group of juvenile boys came to a residence on the 1500 block of Madison Avenue to fight her juvenile son and his friends on Sept. 2 at approximately 12:30 a.m.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS HARASSMENT: A complainant advised she was receiving unwanted phone calls and text messages from another female on Sept. 2 at 12:40 a.m. The suspect female was warned for telecommunication harassment. The suspect immediately texted the victim again, so she was charged. Katrina R. Dearth, 34, of Dayton, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor telecommunications harassment.

FOUND: A bike was found on the 100 block of South Roosevelt Avenue on Sept. 2 at 11:45 a.m. The bike was taken and placed into found property.

A bicycle was found in a yard on the 300 block of Home Avenue on Sept. 2 at around 4:10 p.m.

A set of keys were found on the bike path in the area of North Main Street and Riverside Drive on Sept. 2 at around 7:40 p.m. The keys were placed into found property.

CHILD ENDANGERING: A passerby found a small child wandering in the middle of the street in the area of Wood Street on Sept. 2 at 1 p.m. The child’s mother was located. Cierra J. Alvarez, 27, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor child endangering in connection with this incident.
