Piqua police reports highlights


PIQUA — All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

TRESPASSING: Male was found in condemned residence on the 400 block of Weber Street with a stolen bike pump on Aug. 10 at 11:30 p.m. Nathan A. Jenkins, 61, of Piqua, was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal trespass and fourth-degree misdemeanor receiving stolen property in connection with this incident.

DISTURBANCE: A male subject at a residence on the 600 block of Gordon Street on Aug. 10 at 11:50 p.m. appeared to be having mental health issues. The male subject was walking towards the officers with a hammer. The male subject placed the hammer down and then started talking about things that were not happening. The male had a pipe used to smoke meth on him. The male was taken to UVMC for a mental health evaluation. Kent S. Hughes, 34, of Piqua, was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.

SUSPICIOUS: A male subject walking around the area of West North Street and North Downing Street on Aug. 11 at 1 a.m. was possibly looking into windows. The male was later observed walking in the neighborhood and advised of the complaints. The male was advised to stay away from the residences in the neighborhood. The male stated he understood and wouldn’t walk in that area anymore.

ASSAULT: A female subject stated a male struck her in the face several times while she was sitting in a vehicle in the area of Cedarbrook Drive and Plum Street on Aug. 11 at approximately 4:45 a.m. The male fled prior to police arrival. Victor L. Washington, 30, of Dayton, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor assault in connection with this incident.

THEFT: A male subject was found naked on the floor of a bathroom at Walmart on Aug. 11 at 5:30 p.m. It was determined the subject had stolen property from the business, and he was incarcerated. Edward D. Kuykendall, 50, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft and minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.

A bicycle was reported stolen from a backyard on the 1000 block of Broadway Street on Aug. 11 at approximately 8:15 p.m.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: An officer responded to a criminal damage complaint on the 1400 block of Sweetbriar Avenue on Aug. 11 at approximately 7:15 p.m. The caller advised her vehicle was damaged possibly by a neighbor while mowing.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Two male subjects arguing outside a residence on the 1500 block of Nicklin Avenue on Aug. 11 at approximately 10 p.m. Both were warned for disorderly conduct. One male subject left the area.

An intoxicated subject fell while walking home on the 100 block of North Main Street on Aug 12 at approximately 1:30 a.m. The subject was checked by medics then given a ride to his residence.

Officers responded on the report of two subjects arguing at the skate park on South Street on Aug. 12 at 7 p.m. Jordan A. Fleming, 19, of Piqua, was charged with fourth-degree misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with this incident.
