Piqua police reports highlights

PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

TRESPASSING: Police responded to a trespassing complainant on private property on Orchard Road on Oct. 10 at 4:30 p.m. An officer found three subjects standing next to their vehicle on the road outside of the private property. The subjects stated that they had heard about this abandoned property at school and wanted to see it, according to police reports. The subjects then reportedly showed the officer photos they had taken inside of the property. There were “no trespassing” signs posted throughout the property. Two juveniles and one adult — Calvin W. Arnold II, 18, of Piqua — were cited with fourth-degree misdemeanor criminal trespassing in connection with this incident.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: A female was reportedly found urinating in a yard on the 600 block of W. Ash Street on Oct. 10 at 5 p.m. The female was not intoxicated. The female and a friend claimed it was an emergency.

An anonymous caller reported an elderly male pretending to shoot people with his cane on the 300 block of S. Downing Street on Oct. 10 at 5:11 p.m. The male denied shooting at anyone. He was warned for disorderly conduct.

RECKLESS OPERATION: A witness was following an allegedly drunk driver into Piqua around Garbry Road and West U.S. State Route 36 on Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. The driver was reportedly found to be highly intoxicated. Bruce A. Wilson, 54, of Sidney was charged with OVI and possession of marijuana.

HIT SKIP ACCIDENT: There was a report of a two vehicle hit skip crash unsolved on the 500 block of Riverside Drive on Oct. 11 at 8:15 a.m.

DISTURBANCE: A complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend had called her and said that he was going to kill her, her current boyfriend, and then himself on Oct. 11 at noon. The complainant said the alleged threat was over her not allowing him to see their kids. A charge of first-degree misdemeanor domestic violence was filed and a warrant requested for Dustin M. Bryant, 36, of Piqua.

LOST PROPERTY: A resident reported losing an envelope of money at the Miami Valley Centre Mall on E. Ash Street on Oct. 11 at 6:45 p.m.

WARRANT: James F. Lasater, 40, of Piqua was picked up at Lucky’s Bar on Oct. 11. at 8:15 p.m. There was a warrant for his arrest for first-degree misdemeanor protection order violation.

During a traffic stop on Oct. 9, the passenger in a vehicle was found to have a warrant. Justice C. Hagins, 19, of Piqua was picked up on a warrant for fifth-degree felony theft.
