Piqua police reports highlights

PIQUA — The following are highlights from the Piqua police reports. All information is provided by Piqua police reports.

SUSPICIOUS: A complainant stated she heard rumors that a male subject may attempt to break into her residence on Washington Avenue on June 6 at 7:15 a.m.

MENACING: A female subject was warned for trespassing and menacing at Miami Valley Polishing on June 6 at 7:40 a.m.

DISTURBANCE: An officer responded on the report of a disturbance on the 700 block of South Wayne Street on June 6 at approximately 11:50 a.m. Upon arrival, both parties alleged a minor physical altercation occurred. The officer was unable to determine the primary aggressor. No charges were filed.

THEFT: There was report on June 6 about money being stolen from a motor vehicle in the area of First and Harvard streets on June 4 between 3-8 a.m.

A caller said a male subject stole a tail light off a vehicle in his lot at the Piqua’s Finest Auto Sales on June 6 at 6:15 p.m. The male subject admitted to the theft and was charged. Scott J. Carnes, Jr., 34, of Piqua, was charged with first-degree misdemeanor theft in connection with this incident.

TRESPASSING: A complainant advised two male subjects were refusing to leave the Miami Valley Centre Mall after being told to on June 6 at approximately 8:45 p.m. The male subjects were located and trespassed from business.

There was a report of a male subject refusing to leave a residence on the 800 block of Camp Street on June 7 at approximately 1 p.m. The male subject left and was warned for trespassing.

There was a report of an upset customer at Buckeye Insurance Group who felt he was owned money from the company on June 7 at 3:15 p.m. An officer spoke with the subject and warned him for trespassing. The subject advised he understood.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Officers were dispatched to a disturbance complaint in reference to a male and female subject verbally arguing on the 500 block of South Downing Street on June 7 at approximately 11 p.m. The male subject was given a warning for disorderly conduct.

A male was in a park, after hours, drinking beer at Mote Park on June 8 at 2:50 a.m. He was given a ride to a hotel and warned for disorderly conduct.

UNAUTHORIZED USE: A complainant stated her vehicle was missing when she woke up on June 7 at approximately 7 a.m. on the 600 block of Young Street. She believed her sister had it. The sister was contacted, who stated she had the vehicle. The sister was advised to return the vehicle.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A complainant stated he came out to his vehicle and found the rear window was busted on the 900 block of West Greene Street on June 6. The damage occurred sometime between 10:30 p.m. and midnight. A full beer bottle was found next to the vehicle.

FOUND PROPERTY: A caller said he found a blue Mongoose Mode 100 bicycle in his bushes on North Wayne Street on June 8 at 4:45 a.m. It was placed into found property.
